Sizing Your Pet

Sizing your pet is one of the most important aspects of their adventure, so is very important to be able to measure them correctly. This ensures they will be fitted with the correct size carrier, making them comfortable for their journey ahead.

Your pet must be able to stand in his natural position, sit down and turn around when inside the IATA approved carriers. The airlines may refuse your pet to travel if they have not been fitted to the correct size carrier, so this is imperative to have right.

The easiest way to measure your pet is to stand them against a wall, using a chalk mark on the wall the top of the head and the shoulder height and then the nose to the base of the tail as demonstrated in the picture.

See below for our easy to use 'Pet sizing' guide:

To size your beloved pet ready for transport:

  • Tip of the nose to base of tail (excluding the actual tail) = A

  • Ground to the elbow joint, front leg = B

  • The widest part of your pet = C

  • Floor to the top of the head, or ears whichever is higher = D

Once you have these 4 measurements, we can assign a travel crate that will provide the most comfort and safety to your loved one during their travels
