Your pets travel crate is one of the most important parts of the entire process. We keep the safety and comfort of your pet at the forefront of our minds during the travel process.
This is why is it imperative to size your pet correctly to the correct crate. We are extremely experienced in sizing pets to the correct crate, however, if your pet is not local and you are not sure on how to size your pet, we have an easy to follow guide on 'how to size your pet' which will allow us to assign the most appropriately sized crate for your loved one. Departure Pets carry a full range of I.A.T.A compliant travel sky crates to suit every pets travel needs. From the smallest of kittens to the biggest of dogs (and everything in between), Departure Pets will be able to provide a suitable travel crate. Most of our airline approved sky crates are pre-made to a range of different sizes, but we also understand that not everyone's pet is the 'usual size', so we can custom build airline approved travel crates to fit any 'odd' shaped fur baby. Our entire range of airline approved sky crates are proudly Australian made.

Suitable Airline Approved travel crate points to note:
- Made of a hard plastic material
- Metal bolts on the perimeter joining both the top and bottom together securely
- Single entry/exit door (front loading only)
- Affixed water bowl to the door of the crate (as seen above)
- Adequate ventilation
- Door that can be cable tied closed for safety during travel (to prevent door from
opening) - YOUR PET NEEDS TO BE ABLE TO STAND UP, TURN AROUND, SIT UP AND LAY DOWN COMFORTABLY.
- IF YOU ARE USING YOUR OWN CRATE FOR YOUR PETS TRAVEL, IT WILL BE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE YOUR CRATE IS OF AN ADEQUATE SIZE.
