Qantas has individual restrictions and requirements for pet travel. Read on for a breakdown of what Departure Pets can service with Qantas.

Not all pets can travel to each domestic destination. Your pets size and breed will affect your pets travel to some locations. Your pet travel consultant will advise you of the breed restrictions, if any, for that domestic port. For certain ports, Pet Travel Crates cannot be hired and must be purchased due to return costs.

Qantas Banned Breeds
If your pet is classified as any of the below breeds it will not be able to fly on Qantas
- Pit Bull and American Pit Bull terriers
- Dogo Argentino
- Japanese Tosa
- Brazilian Fila and Mastiff
- Presa Canario.
- American Staffordshire Terrier (Can fly but only in a CR82)
Qantas Brachycephalic Breeds
If your pet is classified as any of the below breeds it will be able to fly on Qantas as long as you have obtained a BOAS

Qantas Documents and Requirements
If your pet is booked to fly with Qantas, there will be things required for your pets to travel:
- QF Indemnity Form (Required for Brachycephalic Breeds only)
- BOAS Form (Required for Brachycephalic Breeds only)
- Pets must be 12 weeks old to fly
